Editorial: Optical imaging approaches for biosensing applications

  • The field of biosensing has grown tremendously over the past decades, featuring a wide variety of transduction technologies and spanning nearly every conceivable field of application, including (but are not limited to) drug design and testing, diagnostics, biomedical research, cell-based assays, and environmental monitoring. This topical collection, however, focuses on a particularly dynamic segment of recent developments within this broad domain: optical imaging approaches for biosensing applications.
